Maxime Bell, currently in his 4th year of medical studies at the Université de Sherbrooke, completed his college studies in Sciences, Letters, and Arts at Collège Lionel-Groulx. Serving as the President of the Fédération médicale étudiante du Québec (FMEQ), Mr. Bell has accumulated over half a decade of active involvement in various student associations. His roles, including Secretary General, Vice-President, Student Life and Well-Being, and President of the Association générale étudiante de médecine de l’Université de Sherbrooke (AGÉMUS), reflect a deep commitment to the well-being of medical learners.
In addition to his leadership roles, Mr. Bell has shown dedication to governance by serving as a young director for multiple Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs). He completed the NPO Governance training program at the Collège des administrateurs de société and the LEADS Inspired Leadership training program at the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL). Maxime Bell’s multifaceted interests extend to psychiatry and mental health, where he actively contributes to initiatives addressing mental health challenges within the medical community.
Recognizing the importance of supporting the mental well-being of medical professionals, he believes this is integral to their success and the quality of care provided to patients. Inspired by his commitment to academic and mental well-being, Mr. Bell continues to strive for excellence as a medical student, leader, and advocate for improved healthcare practices, contributing to the holistic development of medical professionals and the enhancement of patient care.
