Research Associate & Interdisciplinary Ph.D Candidate
Dalhousie University
Dr. Victoria Luong is a research associate and Interdisciplinary Ph.D. candidate at Dalhousie University. She completed her medical degree at the Université de Sherbrooke and her M.Ed. in Health Professions Education at Acadia University. While she regularly contributes to multiple research projects related to the sociocultural components of medical education, her doctoral work focuses on underperformance and remediation in undergraduate medical education. By leveraging what qualitative methodologies have to offer and seeking more sophisticated understandings of the lived experience of struggle, she hopes that this work will help improve current approaches to supporting students who are underperforming academically.
