Janet Rossant, CC, PhD, FRS, FRSC is President and Scientific Director of the Gairdner Foundation. She is also an internationally recognized developmental and stem cell biologist, exploring the origins of stem cells in the early embryo and their applications to understanding and treating human disease. She has received many honors and recognition for her work, including the 2018 L’Oréal/UNESCO Women in Science Award, seven honorary degrees, and election to the Royal Societies of London and Canada, and the National Academy of Sciences, USA.
