Helen Jingshu Jin (she/her) is a third year medical student at the University of Western Ontario. She obtained her BSc at Yale-NUS College, in Singapore, and her MSc in Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. She currently serves as the President of the Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS), an organization that represents over 9,000 learners across Canada.
Her work with the CFMS has been focused on structural reorganization and student outreach, with the goal of increasing learner engagement in medical education optimization and community service.
During her tenure, Helen has been a prominent advocate for the redesign of primary care teaching in medical school, support for unmatched graduates, and building wellness supports at the undergraduate level.
During her tenure, Helen has additionally established several key partnerships with other provincial, national, and international learner organizations to bolster medical student advocacy through collaboration and mutual support.
