About Dr. Neil Osheroff

Neil Osheroff is Professor of Biochemistry and Medicine, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and the John G. Coniglio Chair in Biochemistry. Beyond his research laboratory, he has been a medical school course director since 1990, co-directs the pre-clerkship phase, and is a Past-Director of the Academy for Excellence in Education.

Internationally, is a Past-President of the Association of Biochemistry Educators (ABE) and a Past-President of the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE). Dr. Osheroff has been recognized for his excellence in mentoring, teaching, curricular design, educational leadership, and promoting diversity and inclusion.

He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Association for Medical Education in Europe, and he has received the IAMSE Distinguished Career Award for Excellence in Teaching and Educational Scholarship and the Association of American Medical Colleges Alpha Omega Alpha Robert J. Glaser Distinguished Teaching award.
