Context

The theme of student mobility is in line with the strategic priorities of the Djerba Declaration: Partnership for Health Equity in the Francophone Community. A fundamental objective of medical training is to help learners build their own professional identity, often influenced by that of teachers and patient-partners.

Methodology

The Symposium is organized as a World café-style workshop involving students and healthcare professionals. Participants are arranged in sub-groups around tables to discuss the questions posed by the moderator under each objective, followed by a summary presentation of the exchanges from each round, and then a general discussion.

Expected results

The recommendations arising from the students’ work will guide the implementation of a new strategic approach to healthcare student mobility.

Conclusion

Student mobility is a determinant of Social Responsibility in Health; the results of the Symposium will be presented and discussed in this orientation on the 23rd International University Days of the CIDMEF (Strasbourg, 1-4 May 2024) in the presence of the Deans of the Faculties of Medicine of the French-speaking world.
