SYNOPSIS

In this session, we will discuss the different dimensions of sex and gender and the importance of integrating these sex and gender considerations into health research to discover the mechanisms underlying the impact of sex and gender on health and how to consider these in their own research or work.

At the end of this session, participants will:

1. Distinguish sex and gender dimensions, and intersecting factors, in health research;
2. Demonstrate understanding of sex and gender+ science in health research;
3. Describe the ways in which sex and/or gender is important in their own research or work.
