At the end of this session, participants will:

  1. Recognize the importance of the social and cultural determinants of health and the notion of intergenerational trauma in Indigenous Health and Health Research;
  2. Actively integrate the concepts of self-determination, reciprocity, and relationship in planning processes of health research related to Indigenous peoples and/or communities;
  3. Accurately examine Indigenous health research to achieve the best processes for improved outcomes for Indigenous peoples and communities.
